So I see a hematologist (at a cancer center, no less!) because I have an immune disorder where my immune system attacks my platelets and I have to get my blood work done (CBC w/diff) about every 3 months.
The last time I saw her was in February and she wanted to do the CBC as well as check for hemophilia. I got my blood results via email - but I haven't opened them yet. My doctor requires me to bring my blood work results with me, just in case her office doesn't get them.
Now, I'm not worried about the test showing an abnormal result regarding the hemophilia, but I am freaking out that my numbers will be off because I have leukemia or some type of cancer or some type of bone marrow disorder.
I'm so worried that I'm going to open up the result and my white blood cell count will be off or something like that and I'll freak out about it until my next appointment (4/22/14).
My husband says that my blood work has never been off (minus my platelets) before and they won't be off now. He says that I know they're going to be normal results, so why don't I just open it up and stop worrying about it.
*Sigh* Help? Advice?
