I'm afraid I have Parkinson's
« on: March 19, 2014, 07:29:46 PM »
I'm nervous I have Parkinson's, my muscles are so stiff everyday, and my face muscles feel weak. Could this be anxiety and depression causing this? I also have constant muscle twitching and so uncomfortable, I've gotten an mri cause a few months ago cause of insane head pressure which showed nothing. Idk I've seen the neuro many times but he insists it's anxiety and I might have like a pinched nerve so I'm getting an emg. Idk even when I'm calm I get bad muscle twitches. It's hard to believe it's anxiety even tho I'm not anxious at the time. I did have a weird reaction to Zoloft, where it felt like my brain was bubbling, was on it for only 3 days at 12.5. I heard that it works on dopamine, I'm just nervous I have a neuro problem. It's terrible, my legs feel like jello I'm constantly uncomfortable.

I went through this very same thing last September. I think you have anxiety. I recommend you drink plenty of water (fluids are important) and be sure you aren't low on your B vitamins or magnesium. Also, get a massage. It will help relax you. Anxiety has so many symptoms...remember that....and try to avoid Googling!

I appreciate your posts, My doctor ordered a blood test for my testosterone, magnesium, and vitamin d levels checked soon. My neurologist tested my b12 and it was good. I'm so achey and stiff everyday, sucks. I had a good day yesterday, finally got outside and went to the park with my gf, feel like I'm paying for it today. I've been like stressed and more or less bed ridden for like 6 months. I feel like my body is just gotta like get used to moving again.

When you're stressed out your body tenses and affects your muscles. The stress hormone cortisol also gets released. It's no wonder you are tense and sore. I had a major panic attack last December and afterwards I felt so exhausted. I literally just wanted to sleep. Your brain knows when you're in a whirl wind and it sends messages to your body to react. I hope you feel better soon! :)

I don't have panic attacks anymore, but I am in a constant worried state of mind, which I guess would affect my body, I'm still just a little mind boggled that even an anxious mind can make your body feel like garbage. Thanks for the support :)

Your brain controls your body...directs it constantly. When you're worried your body will react. Just like when someone is scared or angry their heart rate will rise. Your subconscious brain is very, very powerful.

Also consider how unlikely it is that you actually have something like Parkinson's. Instead, consider the 99% possibility that you don't.

Feel better :)
