going for mri. praying for good results
« on: March 19, 2014, 11:31:43 AM »
Went to the doctor and told him about my everyday headaches, and slight dizziness feeling. I expoained to him that my headaches arent severe just there, usually as soon as I wake up. Kind of like a dull pressure feeling, typically around the front of my head and temples. With my dizziness, I really don't know if that's what you would call it but I just told him I just feel kind of off. I am just terrified I have had headaches before but not any that last days or weeks... if you have any experience with these symptoms or any insight please share. Thanks

Depersonalization, dizzyness and headaches can all be characteristics/symptoms of depression. So my thoughts would tend towards that versus anything more sinister.

But if you have insurance, still best to get the MRI and get the clean bill of health. But after that, you'll have to get some help for the likely real culprit of depression.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Had the MRi a few hours ago... So just praying and waiting on results. Will let you know how everything went. Also have a schedueled echocardiogram... Im figuring out I have a lot of health anxiety. So psychiatrist is schedueled next. Praying all my test come back normal, all the ones I have had so far (from ER visits and so on). Just need to accept that everything is fine and that it is  ANXIETY like everyone is telling me. Thank you for your input. I appreciate it :)

I'm sure everything will be fine! How did the MRI go? Did you get contrast? I'm going for one on Tuesday with contrast and I'm scared.

I didn't get contrast. I was a little claustrophobic,  just had to keep taking deep breathes and it helps to keep your eyes closed!

I've had two without contrast and I'm going for one with contrast next weeks so I'm nervous! It does help to just keep your eyes closed. I refused to even open my eyes because I didn't want to freak myself out! Let us know your results!

You may want to try taking GABA. It got rid of that dizziness and brain fog feeling for me. I just referred my sister to it and it totally helped her to. Btw... I was dizzy for 5 months! Not spinning but like a sway. It was awful!
