help me - mri repeat - to do or not to do
« on: March 18, 2014, 02:59:20 PM »
Hello there,

Long story, but ive struggled for about 6 months with MS fear. had a clean mri a few months ago. symptoms include buzzing, tingling, twitching, but most of it is very random and moves around all the time, not very ms-ish. some of the buzzing i realized appeared when i did certain head movements, as did some dizziness. this occured after head trauma though, which apparently can happen i read. besides a neuro told me that the buzzing or dizziness with movement of head wasnt the real lhermittes.

now i how a new floater and worry again - should i repeat mri?  (went to eye doctor who said it was merely a floater)

i am somehow convincing myself that the old mri probably wasnt on a good machine etc etc. but the stress of getting a new mri alone makes me want to cry. i hate the waiting and i would be letting so many people down who i promised, i would stop worrying with a clear mri a few months ago. i wish i could just trust my old mri like normal people.

what to dooo?? :(

I wouldn't do it, and floaters are extremely common. I have had them since I was a teenager - no big deal .

have you had one that stayed with you for a while? mine kind of looks like a fly or something in my lower vision on left eye . its been here for a week now

i dont think ill get the mri. i found this quote on wiki; Delayed onset Lhermittes's sign has been reported following head and/or neck trauma.[5][6] This occurs ~2 1/2 months following injury, without associated neurological symptoms or pain, and typically resolves within 1 year.
 that fits me perfectly actually.

Lulu, I've had all kinds of floaters constantly.  I just ignore them because I've had them for soooooo many years.
