Stomach pain -- no fever
« on: March 14, 2014, 09:14:08 AM »
So I've had stomach pain for about 24 hours now--maybe a little over. And I have no fever. But nothing's really helping my stomach.
My ribs and back and chest have also randomly been hurting. I can breathe fine and it doesn't really hurt to press on my stomach. But I can't help but think that there is something else wrong with me. I feel nauseated but I haven't thrown up and I can still eat--however I haven't really felt necessarily hungry since my stomach started hurting.
I'm not sure what to do. My mom doesn't think anything of concern is wrong but I just keep worrying about it.
I know I'm probably over reacting but stomach pain is one of my higher causes for anxiety.
It feels like gas. But it's not really being relieved much by anything I've taken or do.

Where does it hurt?   If it hurts just above the belly button on downward, nothing you take WILL help it because it's probably gas in the intestinal tract.   The only way a gas remedy works is if the gas is in your STOMACH.

Sounds like trapped gas.  I've actually been having stomach pain myself for the past two days.  It's just this pressure pain in my stomach which seems to hurt more when I'm sitting or lying down.  I know it's gas but NOTHING is helping.  I've tried taking gas relief medicine but I still have this horrible pain.

I think just moving around more and drinking water might help.  I know in the hospital after the birth of my kids, I had incredible gas pains and they suggested walking.  Maybe give that a try today.  I'm definitely going to.  :winking0008:

I hope you feel better.
