I actually just had some issues with my tonsils and I even got to see an ear nose and throat doctor. Here's what I was told, my right tonsil is bigger than my left, my left tonsil is lumpy and textured. The specialist said all tonsils come in various shapes and sizes and he was not at all alarmed by my weirdly shaped and sized ones. Anxiety can produce symptoms of any worry you have. For example, you are worried about your tonsil so your mind is focused on that area. Then any little twinge you feel becomes apart of this worry. I worried for months about my heart and I had every symptom in the book for heart attack. But it's not real. The pain, the feelings, those are all real, but it's what we are telling our brains to tell the nerves in those areas. I had it described this way, it's like a woman who wants to get pregnant so bad it's all she can think about, she begins to gain weight, have food cravings, and in some rare but documented cases, she can produce breast milk (although not much at all), and in reality, she's not pregnant at all. Our brains are crazy organs. You have to relax.
