Help! Neck throat pain under my chin
« on: March 08, 2014, 08:42:13 PM »
So today all of the sudden I felt like something was swollen under my chin connected to my neck. When I touch it or press on it, it would hurt! It feels swollen, I don't have a sore throat or anything. Now I'm scared of thyroid nodules/tumor.

Sounds like you have been tense and clenching your jaw perhaps without knowing. It will go away just stop focusing on it.

My tmj causes pain in that area as does clenching from anxiety.

I tend to hold stress there. I find that deep breathing and anxiety teas calm me down and soothe my chin/neck/throat

It seems swollen and tender to touch. Does it seem serious?
