Recently I've seem to develop hypochondria after I had some sort if swelling/pulled muscle/hernia in my lower abdomen above my groin.
After that healed and went away, I kept checking for lymph nodes and other problems thinking I had HIV, or cancer.
This all took place back in the beginning of August.
About 5 months ago now, I had a slightly scratchy throat on the right side and had an earache for about a day as well. I noticed a lump under my jaw on the right side where I can only judge is near my submandibular gland from pictures online. It doesn't cause a noticeable bulge in my neck/jaw, but it feels larger on the right side than the left side. I can also pinch a soft feeling flat mass against my trachea, and I can kind of get behind it with my finger and peel it away from my trachea.
It was sore for about 2-3 months, but is no longer sore, but it is still there.
Could my salivary gland just be in a different spot or am I looking at something more serious?!
Afraid to make an appointment with my doctor to find out what it is.
