Did it look as though you were seeing the shadow of a ceiling fan?  Like flickering black?
If so, it's a floater.  The doctor usually won't even tell you about stuff like that because it's so common - however the way floaters present themselves are VERY different indeed!   I have a HUGE one in my right peripheral vision and when it is bright (like now, my right side is facing the living room with the sun coming in) I have that flickering black, like a ceiling fan is running and casting a shadow on the wall. It's not your brain if that is the case, it's your eye.  (and the only thing one is told to do is see an eye doctor for a dilated exam to make sure things are fine, and you were just there)

Sunlover- no I don't get that.

Does anyone see floater patches when you squint your eyes while looking at a computer/phone screen or in the sunlight while driving? But it floats up and away.

I don't even have to squint my eyes, I have thousands of webs and strings and blobs and smudges all over my vision.  Drives me CRAZY while driving!  They are 10 times worse if I squint of course.

I have a bump on the base of my head in the back and it hurts when I touch it. I dyed my hair a few weeks ago, and my lymph nodes were swollen on my neck and head. Could it still be the lymph node that hasn't gone down?

Yea right now (well for the last 2 weeks everyday) my headache has been primarily on my left side....over my brow, side of my head and sometimes my ear. I'm afraid of blood clot or brain tumor  :traurig001:

But to relate to you guys, the floaters, strings, blobs all over our vision are normal. I went thru that same fear. We are more sensitive to things like that because we are hypochondriacs.
