brain tumor?!
« on: March 04, 2014, 07:03:34 PM »
So my anxiety level is on the high rise again... so for the past month, ive been having pain on top of my right eye. Not the eyelid but the eyeball area. I went to the doctor and he said my eyes looked fine. But ive still been having pain in my eye with stabbing and aching pain on side of my head, dizziness, ear pain and nausea. I feel like the pain is happening everyday and getting worse and im scared it could be a brain tumor

If you had a tumor above your eye socket, the eye doctor would most likely have seen swelling of your optic nerve and nerves behind your eyeball.
When they examine your dilated eyes with that bright light, they can see A LOT.

Many people have had brain tumors detected or suspected by visiting the eye doctor, because the raised intracranial pressure that occurs with brain tumors causes the nerves behind the eyes to swell.

Yea, Emily is right, they can see all the way behind your actual eyeball. I JUST went thru this scare because of having constant headaches for 2 weeks. I.went to the eye Dr.today.actually and he told me its.nothing neurological that would be causing these types of headaches. For me its.tension,.stress.and.anxiety. Read my recent posts, I'm sure you'll relate!
