I have been having problems with my tonsils for about 1.5 months now. It started on only one side, the left, my tonsil swelled up, I had the white patches and I was able to take care of it for the most part with gargling salt water. Then shortly after the left tonsil's swelling went down, my right tonsil swelled up really bad with only a few patches. I didn't have a sore throat for either time but the outside was tender. I went to my GP with the right tonsil and she told me I had tonsillitis and prescribed me 10 days, 3 times a day antibiotic. The right tonsil eventually went back to normal and for the last 3 days I have had a pain on the left side of my jaw like a tooth ache, then yesterday my hearing in the left ear kept going in and out like my ear was plugged and today I had the ear and jaw pain with a bit of an irritation in my throat with the outside feeling tender. When I looked in the mirror, my left tonsil has a weird bubble on it with white patches that go down my throat. The tonsil itself is not swollen except for what looks like a pea sized bubble. What the heck is this? Is this tonsillitis again or something else?
