Good Morning!
« on: February 24, 2014, 01:24:50 PM »
My name is Sarah. I am 23 years old and struggling daily with my GAD.
I try really hard to keep myself under control.

I make lists, try to stay organized, eat healthy.
Currently I am planning out an exercise routine. (I'm thinking maybe Yoga, because it's been proven to help with anxiety)

It seems like I can only go a week maximum feeling okay.. then my anxious feelings start to creep in again.
I'm in a long term relationship.
I believe relationships to be one of my triggers.
I live in constant fear of him leaving, losing interest, or finding my anxiety obnoxious and distancing himself.

I'm here because I need advice from like-minded people - or even just some friends to listen.

Nice to meet you.

Welcome to the forum. Good to have you as a member. Here you are with like minded people. People who understand. As we all suffer from something or other. So feel free to ask any questions. Our members are always willing to help others out. Good chatroom too. 3 posts to enter the room.

Find the correct section of the forum that suits your condition and create a new topic on it. This is just a welcome section. Never really get the same amount of help in this section as you would on the other sections of the forums. So whatever one suits the questions you are asking. Get much better answers.
All users of the chatroom must be 18 years old or over. The room is off limits to anybody under the age of 18.

Nice to meet you :) I'm non-medicated. I try my best to keep myself sorted on my own.
Though I have been on meds before! How long have you been on Prozac?

Hey Sarah!
Welcome to the site. I have GAD too and I've found that yoga definitely helps. It sounds like you're doing all the right things to manage everything. I think there's a GAD section on the website that you may find helpful too. It's nice to meet you!

Awesome to hear that yoga helps for you! I can't wait to get started.
Some days I feel unmanageable.
