How long for Clonazepam to stop seddatin'
« on: February 22, 2014, 08:22:00 PM »
How long do I have to take Clonazepam (Klonopin) for it to stop causing such sedating effects? I mean I'm not hittin' the floor, but it takes out the motivation factor in some things.

I didn't even search the boards for an answer. my deepest heartfelt apologies.

Sometimes, when I'm home alone, I fill my bathtub with tomato sauce and pretend I'm a meatball.

Depends on how much and the person.  In my experience its most sedating effects wear off in a few days, but it can still help one get to sleep, at least for a few hours, when needed for quite some time.  If you use it occasionally, the sedating effect wont wear off but if you are using it regularly it will, at least to a degree.  Don't forget that some of the ADs can be sedating too, as can the exhaustion of an anxiety/depression condition as well.  Smaller doses (like say .25mg or less) won't be sedating for long.
