Just when I started getting back to normal...
« on: February 18, 2014, 06:28:13 PM »
WHY!!!!  :traurig001:
I finally started getting back to normal and of course today I was scratching my neck and I found a hard lymph node right above the clavicle, it's a little less then a centimeter but this lymph node location is notorious for being caused by cancer. I'm really about to cry, honestly when will this ever end! It seems like every time I get over one thing something new pops up. Supposedly this lymph node is often swollen due to spreading of cancer from the abdominal region, which is the only thing I'm positively taking out of this because most of those cancer don't happen until later and I'm only 20 so if it is cancer it would probably be lymphoma. I just don't want this cycle to start all over again I finally thought I beat anxiety and I feel it coming back full circle. Please help :traurig001:

That is the thing with health anxiety, you think you got over it but new symptom appears and you sre back to square one.

From a rational point of view, you could have that lump for a very long time, just haven't noticed it before. You probably won't calm down completely until doctor checks it (I know I wouldn't) so my advice would be to see your doctor.

I have something similar and the same fears. I've been told it's normal and not to diagnose yourself because they know what to feel for.

Well, you are most likely completely fine. You can also observe it and if it gets bigger go to doctor which would probably be the best course of action for your anxiety.
