eye pain and blurry vision in one eye
« on: February 15, 2014, 11:08:49 PM »
so for the past week, ive been having eye ball pain on the top area where my eye socket is. ive noticed that my right eye is blurry compared to my left eye. i have seen two doctors so far and they said my eye looks fine and my brain is functioning normally and gave me NSAIDS but im still having pain. i do have allergies but the doctor said my sinus looks fine and i dont have any sinus pressure or headaches from it. i dont see my optometrist until next month so im really aggravated to know whats going on. of course as a hypochondriac, im thinking its a brain tumor, aneurysm, meningitis, glaucoma

This could be caused by something called 'silent migraines' where you have no headache or other symptoms, just eye symptoms. It could also be an infection.

Let us know how you get on at the ophthalmologist and chances are they will find nothing at all.

You want to see an ophthalmologist as opposed to an optometrist. The health of an eye is best check by an ophthalmologist. If you need further referral, he/she will refer you. Hope all goes well.

Hold up..take your eye away from the screen for a minute..if it feels better then you have eyestrain. I get it too because I work on a computer all day. See a doctor to ease your fears though. You should be good.
