Can moving your head quickly cause brain damage?

No external force, I just moved my head really quickly and stopped once.

Extremely unlikely. You probably would have a better chance winning the lottery.

You would have to be moving very fast. Long time head bangers tend to see some effects similar to such, but again that is an extreme circumstance. I would be surprised if you had managed to do anything other than worry yourself. Also very likely you would be experiencing symptoms if you had damaged your brain, unevenly dilated pupils, headache, nausea, vertigo, loss of memory etc.
