Natural Treatments for OCD
« on: February 12, 2014, 10:42:49 PM »
I'm just wondering if anyone has had success using natural treatments for their OCD??  My OCD is almost completely obsessions so I don't think exposure therapy would work.  But has anyone had success using herbs and/or supplements??

I cannot say I have. Except if you count that I've taken b complex and magnesium for my general anxiety and it helped a bit. I also use essential oils (vaporizer, baths etc.), do yoga and cbt. My ocd (pure o) tendencies are worse with elevated anxiety and better when I'm calm. So I guess I could say all of that helps me  :winking0008:.

Believe it or not, Vitamin D supplements and Magnesium have played a huge roll in the lessening of my anxiety- I really recommend Vitamin D pills/gummies and magnesium oil spray, they've worked wonders on my pure obsessional OCD!

Yes, a Chinese Herb called "Anchor the Heart and Calm the Spirit" (or something similar to that) has helped me with my pure o. I am also taking Lexapro, but the herb helps my anxiety. I take it along with getting accupuncture on a weekly basis.
