can a doctor 'hear' lung cancer?
« on: February 12, 2014, 08:27:13 AM »
My right arm has been having weird sensations and I get this bubble sensation sometimes when breathing out and other lung fears. I'm 22. If a doctor listens to your lungs is that good enough to rule it out?

Hi there,

I don't think a doctor would hear cancer per se, that's why we have a million medical tests to determine particular illnesses in the body.

Did the doctor clear you out when he listened to your lungs? Then I don't think your doctor has a reason to test further.

If you had it, you would be really really really sick. Not just a bubble sensation when you breathe out.

He was listening to your lungs to see if he heard anything that would
indicate fluid in your lungs, such as from bronchitis, etc.

A dr can't hear lung cancer, but they can hear if there is something that warrants a closer look :) when I was smoking, even when I lied and said I wasn't my dr knew just by listening to my lungs.
