Mind/Body sensations.....
« on: February 10, 2014, 09:42:06 PM »
First of all, I suffer from MAJOR health anxiety fixated on something neurological such as MS....or some sort of nerve issue.  My face burns often....not to mention random burning spots I get on my body.  I get achy, have pains in certain parts of my body last last and last (hip, thigh, etc).  I can handle the aches and pains, but the burning is paralyzing!!!!!!!!!!!!  It effects my me entire mind....it can stop me in my tracks when trying to talk....I obsess over it, until it goes away.

The point of my post, thought, is this.....while sitting here listening to a song, my entire body immediately was overcome w/ chills/goosebumps.  That's normal when you hear a song that is so touching...or someone tells you about something really touching...or even something really scary.  RIGHT?

So...why can't we, w/ healthy anxiety, accept that our minds can also cause other weird sensations.  If our mind is ALWAYS anxious and worried, it makes sense our body is always exhibiting odd symptoms.   That just dawned on me a few mins ago and I wanted to share.

But don't you see my point here?  Our emotions can effect our body.  Just listening to a song can give your whole body chills?  Just hearing some bad news on the phone, can make your whole body rush w/ a hot sensation?  Something really upsetting can mess up your stomach, immediately?  So why can't "constant anxiety and worry" leave you w/ constant odd sensations and pains?

Preaching to myself!  :)

I'm sure it does. I mean if you constantly focused on them.

Maybe your mind looks to overcome and sort of desensitizes from it happening all the time, you get a trigger or something introduced to you that's a concern may trigger the emotion that follows. if I"m following you correctly.

 ::)   I know, we should.

When it's painful, I guess it's harder to chalk off to anxiety.  B-;

But when the mind is controlling what the mind feels, there is conflict.

Thoughts happen in split seconds. something happens, a thought sparks, you understand you have the issue with over thinking something and then the worry sparks. and so on and so forth.

It's not a bad thing by any means.

It's not a problem or an abnormality. It's just who are are made up as, it's our emotions. Mine comes from comparing myself to others and often wondering... "Do they feel the same way I feel?"
