Hi, I think if it was anything serious like a pulmonary embolism, you would not be here typing, and you wouldn't question if you needed to go to the ER. You would know if there was something severely wrong.

Back pain can be from anything. You could have slept funny, or even strained something. I don't think it's something to be worried about.

Thank you so much. I kind of thought I would have more symptoms. I get so worried even if its small things. I just had a panic attack so I feel pretty crappy right now. Praying its nothing life threatening.  Thanks for your response

If pain gets worse or it doesn't improve in few days go see a doctor, but my guess is it's a pulled muscle.

The fact is, you shouldn't even know what pulmonary embolism is. Do yourself a favor and stop googling forever.

My left arm has some dull and achy feeling also. Kind of tingling. Do you think this is just from anxiety?

I think since you probably know that the left arm is connected to heart problems, you are creating this feeling. Either way, anxiety causes tingles.

I have felt these feelings in my arms alot when I do have panic attacks. I just havent had any bad ones in about a week so I guess i had my hopes up that I somewhat had it under control. So when I started feeling this way my mind was thinking the worst. I automatically think there has to be something physically wrong with me because of the feelings im having.

I've had lots of upper and mid back pain with occasional pains down one or both arms and sometimes under the ribs almost a year.  It feels like burning or pulling sensations with sometimes stabbing pains.  I spoke to my doctor about it months ago...it's tension in the trapezius muscle which runs from your shoulders in a v - shape down to your spine above your waist.  It still freaks me out a bunch but I've also started to isolate the causes (tense neck, bad posture and holding my smartphone for long periods of time).  I carry my stress in my shoulders so this is a tough one to solve.  But heat, stretching and one of those foam rollers definitely help.

When this pain started, it freaked me out because the pain was different than muscular pain in the lower back or other places.  After almost a year,  I don't have it every day but it's still a struggle.

Thank you anxiety gal. It really is never ending what stress and anxiety can do to our bodies. Thank you for sharing your experience with me. It is really comforting to know that some people have similar symptoms and its nothing terrible.
