I think of anthrax whenever I open my mail haha.

I worked in D.C. for 9/11 and I developed a cough and thought I had anthrax. I cried about it. SERIOUSLY. What in the WORLD?!

I will divide mine between things I have totally believed I had and other that just crossed my mind.

Convinced.

M.S, Mouth Cancer, Cirrhosis of the Liver, Thyroid function problems, A generic muscle wasting/ malapsorbtion disease (I think I have this right now actually).

Crossed my mind.

ALS, Muscular Dystrophy, Heart Attack, Serratonin Syndrome (when I first started on medication).

I fully realise that this I am so obviously wrong about everything that I shouldn't even think to trust my instincts on my current issues but yet I still do. :(

Well, I'll just go within the past year - going back to my teen years would shut down this website due to too much writing  B-;
So within the year:   colon cancer; tonsil cancer; ovarian cancer; ALS; MS; tumor on the spine; brain tumor (several of them); pilomotor seizure disorder; heart attack...  when I was younger I used to comfort myself with "I'm too young for that!" - now I'm NOT TOO YOUNG so I am freaking out more than ever over things!   :dazed:

Wow! Reading through these is eye opening. I actually feel rather lucky I have never heard of some of these conditions (and I am nooot looking them up lol).

In some ways I wish I could have something so ridiculous as to be obviously HA although I know that it doesn't work like that. I actually caught myself thinking semi-seriously about vCJD once as I am the right age and from the right country. I am glad I was able to rubbish that one easily!

Knowing that you can't be some cute blonde with big boobs is sooo dissapointing  :traurig001:

Thanks again btw, battling this s**t with humor is good thing since we are irrational as hell.

You name it! I've diagnosed myself with MS, leukemia, congenital heart defect, various heart arrhythmias, pneumonia, and I'm sure there are more that are harder to remember since I'm not in the thick of health anxiety anymore. I have a Master's degree in Nursing and sometimes I think it wasn't the best life plan because I know too much! But, with a lot of work these health issues are just not a big concern of mine anymore, sometimes a fear will pop up here and there or if I actually get sick my brain wants to jump to the worst case scenario, like a cold progressing to pneumonia, but all in all it gets better with the proper guidance and support..oh and a lots of practice.
