This is ridiculous...
« on: January 28, 2014, 03:09:27 PM »
I am currently on my way to an ENT appointment for fluid that has been trapped behind my eardrum for about 5 months, we still have another hour of driving and my anxiety is going batsh*t crazy. Even to me this seems stupid, what's the worst that could happen at an ENT right?? I've never been to an ENT so maybe this is my issue?! Anyone ever seen an ENT  for a similar problem? What can I expect to happen?

Nothing to freak about. You will be with a doctor who specializes in these things. He or she will check you sinuses tonsils and ears. And should have a solution for you.

I went to an ENT once.  He had the old-school mirror on his forehead, like some doctor from 100 years ago.  Made me laugh!

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.  - AnxietyZone member Sixpack
