The tricyclic antidepressants and Celexa (citalopram) and Lexapro (escitalopram) may affect the electrical system of the heart at high doses. Even then it is usually only a problem when heart disease is already a factor.

OTOH, the serotonergic antidepressants slightly 'thin' the blood which may reduce the incidence of heart attacks and ischemic strokes.

They don't cause it, but the weight gain they may initiate can. Anxiety and especially depression also significantly increase the risk of diabetes. Healthy eating and regular exercise, which also lowers anxiety levels, will negate the added risk.
