My daughters psychiatrist told her that OCD is a type of anxiety disorder
Zoloft has helped a lot. But my question to you is what triggered
This latest anxiety episode? That could be very helpful towards
Your recovery. I have severe GAD and did CBT meds and therapy and
I am improving  There is hope !

You are not alone. I have heard multiple times that hypochondria is a type of OCD which makes sense seeing as we are obsessing over things we think are wrong with us. As far as the number thing goes, I find myself trying to avoid certain numbers like 13 for instance, which isn't from being superstitious but because the 13th letter in the alphabet is the first letter of what I'm worried about. When you say it like that it sounds absolutely crazy, but it bothers me nonetheless.
