waiting for results
« on: January 18, 2014, 06:30:31 PM »
hello this thursday i went to my doctor for a cold.  while she was listening to me she saw a skin tag,  she said the color is dark we should take off and send it out. Knowing how panicky i am she said dont worry its verysmall, uniformed,  and since its a skin tag its not on a skin. Well itdoesnt really help since my skin tag is being biobsied now. I am sitting googling, nowhaving hard time breathing. Please any suggestions, and help would help

I have never heard of a skin tag turning out to be cancer. My mom is an RN and she had some skin tags. She had then removed because they were annoying but she never voiced any concern over them being anything sinister, and they were not. You are fine :)

I've had several skin tags.  Mine eventually went away on their own.  I have never heard of them being cancerous.

Thank u for replying. I hope it will be benign. She said the color was darker but it was small, uniformed and not on a skin. So very anxious

Sounds like billable hours to me.

I've never heard of a skin tag being anything but ugly.  In fact, you can take your finger and twist them round and round a few times a day for a few days and they'll fall off without bleeding.

Try to relax! I'm sure it's just a skin tag.

I never even HEARD of the color of a skin tag being "ominous".  My husband had a dark brown one on his eye lid.  It was merely removed and never sent anywhere.   I think your doctor is looking to jack up that medical bill.
