I am 40, and she didn't mention how thick it was. I think she said thicker than she'd expect at the point I was in my cycle. This period lasted for 17 days. I stopped bleeding and was mildly spotting on Saturday. Then it stopped. My ultrasound was that following Monday. I didn't think about it to mention to her, but I had just told my boyfriend several days before I thought I was ovulating. I am also due to start my period this coming week, as I usually start every 23 or so days. So, that might explain the lining issue, I don't know. Either way, she said she rarely sees serious issues in women under 50-60. She says its very uncommon. As for the biopsy, it was nothing. Have you ever had a cervical biopsy? If so, it was slightly more uncomfortable than that. You feel very MILD cramping as they use this teensy suction thing to suck some lining out. My cervix was already slightly open which made it easier she said. Even if not, she said she never has had a patient complain of any actual pain. Its more uncomfortable than anything. Before you know it, they're done. So, don't worry about that. I did my lamaz breathing to relax myself. If you're tense, it is more uncomfortable. So, if you've done lamaz, do that breathing, or Google relaxation breathing, and do that during the procedure. It takes just about 3-5 minutes. Nothing big. My Dr has pretty pictures of nature on the ceiling w a light behind it, and that helped. If yours doesn't, bring something to look at that relaxes you. It helps a lot. I even brought my boyfriend to hold my hand lol.
