Hurts SO bad to talk :/ why?
« on: January 12, 2014, 03:10:12 AM »
I've been posting a lot lately but here's the main issue now.

I CANT TALK. It just hurts like crazy. While I am talking I get this pain right behind my Adam's apples that forces me to either stop talking or talk kn the quietest voice possible.
I had what I think was a throat infection a month ago and I've had a slight hoarse voice ever since. But it didn't start hurting to talk until last week and it's getting worse.

It doesn't feel like a sore throat pain, it's like I can feel it in my larynx and only happens when I talk. It's brutal. I am a rapper, and I've been getting paid for it lately. This has put a complete halt on my career because I can't even *****&$*****$*****& talk.

Has anyone ever experienced this? I have a videostrobe with an ENT in two weeks but that's just too long to wait..

Well people who do sing do, at times, have to rest their voices, because of the constant strain they put on the vocal chords. I remember one Bono. from U2. lost his voice. Had to cancel part of a world tour. It is one of those quirks that comes with singing and is worth having checked out. Only then will you know for certain.
