Generalized Itchiness all over
« on: January 12, 2014, 12:56:19 AM »
Does anybody experience this it happens all over my body . If my leg itches ill go to scratch it and it wont itch anymore then the itch will move to a arm or back or scalp. Its been going on for a week now its freaking me out cause im scared it could be from a billary blockage caused my some dreaded disease like Pancratic or Liver Cancer. I have no rash only a itch that moves around what could this be ?

could it be stress related? Or just plain dry skin...i have major itchy issues during stress and it scratches without any rashes....i then apply moiturizer of damp skin after bath...it really reduces the itchiness or you can try almond oil...its really nice for dry and itchy skin.

Drag - I go through this from time to time and like you worry about it being attributed to the same nasty diseases. However, it's much more likely you and I are itchy from stress and dry skin due to weather. The itch associated with diseases is intense. Like keep you up all night intense. Also - the itch from nasty things like PC comes from the built up of billirubin in your blood. If you had this you would be jaundice and yellow like a banana. Try some lotion. Don't take showers that are too hot and find ways to relax. I notice my itch gets better with consistently using lotion after showers and when I'm most distracted.

I've been itchy my entire life and it's gets really bad in the winter. It's probably just dry skin.
