Constant left foot cramps
« on: January 09, 2014, 10:34:38 PM »
Hey guys. I have this constant leg cramp in the bottom of my foot along with other things. Like today in the car with my mom, I was losing feelings in my legs  and it felt like it was going numb and it was moving up my legs. Literally both of my legs became numb for like a minute of two and I swear I was going to die or faint. I might just give in and take a trip to the doctor on my own :( I am so scared though ugh stupid stress and anxiety is controlling my life.

I used to have leg cramps often. What helped me was drinking plenty of water and adding magnesium. Have you considered trying that?

Hope you feel better soon.

I've been drinking plenty of water so I don't see what's the problem there :(. Thanks for the advice though.

Hi Arib...

Anxiety can have a vast array of symptoms, but just because one suffers from anxiety, doesn't mean that all symptoms we incur are caused by it.  As you mentioned, it would probably be a good idea for you to see your doctor.

Muscle cramps may be caused by vitamin deficiencies, drugs, lactic acid, dehydration, and low calcium, potassium, or magnesium.

Good luck to you in finding some relief.  The best to you, Arib!...  Chuck

It's very very commong to get those cramps if you don't get enough iron, calcium or magnesium. Those are also minerals/vitamins you "burn" more if you suffer from anxiety.

This is 100% anxiety. You simply need to change your perception from "I swear I was going to die or faint" to "I will not die and this cannot hurt me." The anxiety will stick around as long as you believe the former (that it can physically hurt you - which it will not) to be true.
