big pulse in groin
« on: January 06, 2014, 04:50:52 PM »
On the right side of my groin the pulse feels abnormally big, about the size of a bb. I'm 6'3 140-145 pounds so i am pretty skinny. if i lay flat i can see it through my skin a little. I'm afraid it is a groin aneurysm. Someone please put me at ease.

Its normal, dont worry about it. That's just a spot where some of your largest veins and arteries are.

That's your femoral artery, if you lay flat and look at your stomach sometimes you can see the pulse of your descending aorta also. It is completely normal. Start to worry when you feel a ripping tearing pain.
