Lexapro tiredness
« on: January 01, 2014, 07:41:14 PM »
I've been taking Lexapro 10mg for nearly a week now at night time.
I feel so tired and lethargic.
I am really demotivated to even do anything because of it.
This is depressing in itself.
I need energy to be happy.
I am just wondering how long it took other people on this drug for this to subside? If ever? And if you ever reach a state of energy?
Maybe I need a drug that is more energizing than this one, although it is only early days yet.
Any comments on improvement of energy levels and how long it took would be helpful.
Thanks

Pepperz I started on Lexapro about 8 weeks ago. I started with 5mg and have been on the 10 mg for four weeks. I felt the same way! No energy to do anything. I didn't even care if I got dress. My doctor just changed me to Celexa due to price and no insurance. I am so hoping it doesn't make me feel like the Lexapro because I hated feeling like a zombie. If I wouldn't have been changed scripts I would of gave the Lexapro a little longer thou because everyone says it works good for them. Good luck and keep us updated if it changes for yoh.

I was on Lexapro for the longest time but do not notice a difference in energy from that and Zoloft, which I am on now.  I am probably lacking energy because I am overweight  :-*

I feel like my energy is picking up. Today I went out and did things and now I'm at work and I haven't felt bad at all! I've been on it for 10 days now.
