Flu Season making me a prisoner in my home
« on: January 01, 2014, 07:37:29 PM »
I live in Texas, where the Flu has been pretty bad. Several deaths from the flu as well as the h1n1 "swine flu"...I have 4 kids, ages 5,3,2, & 8 months.. My husband works out of town 2 weeks at a time, and hes been gone since Christmas Eve.. my oldest is on Christmas break right now, and weve pretty much stayed at home the whole time because im terrified of us getting the flu :( im too scared for us to get the flu vaccine, because ive heard horrific stories about people dying from the shot itself, or becoming paralyzed as reaction to the i just dont know. Ive spent the last 2 days researching the pros and cons of the flu shot...and ive found more people say they wouldnt get the shot than people saying they would  :dazed: idk what to do! im terrified. im scared me or my kids will get sick, my oldest goes back to school next week (shes in Kindergarten) and im so worried shell catch it then   :dazed: its truly exhausting and i dont know what to do to ease my mind about all many young healthy adults & kids have died this season from the flu  :( any advice??

And how many of you get the flu shot?? Why or Why not?
