Aortic vessel tear!
« on: December 28, 2013, 12:06:18 PM »
I was sitting on my bed in my room on my laptop when out of nowhere I had a sharp shooting pain on the right side of my ribs but in back.  The pain seemed to come it spurts.  It would last for a second and then go away and then 1 second later it would be back...I think you get the picture.

Well the sharp pain is not there anymore and didn't last more than what seemed like 10-15 seconds overall.  But, I feel somewhat like I'm short of breath and there is a minor ache below where the pain was originally.  Even I have to say that I feel like I'm over-exaggerating, but I can't help but think that it's something very serious.  I just have that "what if" scenario going on in my head.  :(

I get this when I have been sitting in one spot for too long. Pretty sure it muscle cramps because when I would stand up and start walking around in a panic from the pain it would suddenly go away. Posture is important when sitting and taking a break to stretch helps the muscles stretch out and promotes blood flow.

Sounds like a trapped nerve I always get it in the rib area. It's a sharp excruciating pain that eases off after a few seconds but comes back until you move or 'Un-trap' it! Doesn't sound like something to worry about.

If you had an Aortic vessel tear, you would probably not be typing on this forum as you would be dead.
