Freaking myself out over a blood clot... Please help me!
« on: December 26, 2013, 04:17:22 PM »
So I gave birth 5 weeks ago, and the symptoms have been going on since then. It varies from dull sharp pain, to burning down the side of my left thigh and down the front. It is not constant. And seems to flair up every few days. I'm 25 and had a normal delivery and have no health complications.

With the birth of my first son 4 years ago I did have this as well. It turned into a huge anxiety trigger and worrying about getting a blood clot and dying. I had like 8 ultrasounds of my legs, blood tests and it never was one. But the fear still l stoke with me. And now I'm worried about it again.

I've called my doctor and they said not to worry since its not red or swollen, and in the past I've had work ups and its probably a pinched nerve. I've been diagnosed with mergalia parentecis. Just wondering if anyone can help my worrys about a blood clot, and if this sounds like one!

Thank you

That's relieving. I'm just trying to remind myself if I had one it would be really obvious!

Chest pain, swollen legs, and pain are things to be careful for. The most obvious being swollen legs

Def sounds like a nerve issue - I had tons of nerve issues after having my daughter in March as I had a pretty long and drawn out delivery!

Thanks ladies... I guess what freaks me out is not knowing I'd have one and it move to my chest and I'm done...I'm hoping it would be obvious enough to know I had one and catch it. From what I've heard from people who have had one is they are very painful.. I can walk, no swelling. And by now it would have done damage I'm guessing
