stomach ulcer or ovarian cancer
« on: December 24, 2013, 02:23:10 PM »
I've been posting recently about some symptoms I've been having.  Upper and lower abdominal pain and discomfort on the right side, in my back, nausea, bloating, somewhat of a burning or pulling feeling in my mid upper abdomen, etc.  I've avoided the doctor, but last night it was bugging me quite a bit.  It has been going on for about 8 days.   So I went in today.  She said she thinks it may be an ulcer.  She sent me for lab work to check for H. pylori, and gave me a script for prilosec.  But isn't your stomach on the left?  My pain is geared more towards the right.
I had googled yesterday and found ovarian cancer.  I had her check my ovaries, and she said she could barely feel them, but is sending me for an ultrasound since I expressed a bit of tenderness in that area.  Could be a cyst, I know, but I just ended my cycle.
So if any of you have had an ulcer, did you experience right sided pain?  Just for the record, I did just drink some coffee and now the right sided pain is worse than it was a bit ago.
Does anyone know anything about ovarian cancer?  I wish I could shake this.

I had an esophageal ulcer in June 2005 and I had very bad burning in my back like it was on fire and
I also had pain on my right side and it radiated to my back. It was diagnosed by an EGD and I did not
have H Pylori. I was put on Nexium and I had a follow-up EGD 6 weeks later and it was healed.
