As far as I can tell that is not MS, just good ol fashion anxiety attacks. MS doesnt attack like that. And just because someone has MS doesn't mean they're doomed to a wheelchair. The best goalie in the nhl this season has been battling ms for over a year now.

1. Nothing you describe cannot be caused by anxiety.

2. M.S is quite rare, anxiety is not.

3. Even if you had M.S (which in all likelihood you do not), wheelchars are not inevitable.

4. Go see your doctor, describe your symptoms, get it thoroughly checked out and get the appropriate treatment (be that for M.S or anxiety).

5. All the best of wishes, it is horrible worrying about these sorts of things.

Thanks, my hands still feel like this the next day though, mostly my left and my upper left chest, I can't stop thinking about it :( my doctor sent me for blood tests which she said are to reassure me, would it show up on a blood test? :/

My sister has MS and is healthier than most people I know. Hers started as a metalic taste in her mouth. She rarely ever gets tingly. It would not show up in blood work. Only an MRI of the brain can rule it out. I'm sure 99.99% of yours is from anxiety. Feel better!

Thanks guys, I hate anxiety because you can't believe anything you're told, like I know I have an anxiety disorder, so logically my symptoms should be caused by that, but I automatically link it to some sort of disease and won't believe doctors even if they say I don't have it ugh. It's getting me down so much, I'm a dancer and the thought of getting a bad case of MS and not being able to dance anymore, life wouldn't even be worth living for me.

@shakeysue

Did your sister have any other symptoms? I was always told that ms has a really drastic onset eg going blind in an eye or unable to suddenly unable to use an arm or leg - a metallic taste in the mouth seems to go against that?

Just curious and trying to get my own brain sorted as ms is my main fear too.
