Social networking makes my HA worse
« on: December 15, 2013, 07:54:04 PM »
Since moving across the country, social networks have been a blessing in regards to staying in touch with family and friends. However, it seems like everytime I log on I read something about the big "C" and I get FREAKED out. This morning I had my HA a little under control when I logged on and saw a disturbing update from the Today Show on an earlier story, it sent my HA into obsessive mode again. Can anyone relate?! I debate keeping mine, but it would be hard to deactivate it.

YES!  I am in the exact same boat.  Actually posted about this last week but didn't get any responses.  This is a big one for me.  Everything on see on social networking sites (all of the same posts you talk about) sends me into overdrive.  I saw something about someone back in September, and ever since then, I've been thinking I have what they have.  I finally made an appointment to see my primary care physician tomorrow to talk about it and my anxiety/depression.  I can't live like this.  But I do feel your pain.  I can't deactivate mine because that's how I stay in contact with my hubby while he's away at work, but I want so desperately to, as well.
