Is this seasonal anxiety?
« on: December 09, 2013, 10:33:46 PM »
Now I had HORRIBLE anxiety this time last year with heart palps/lightheadedness and brain fog/derealization or whatever u call it. I'mhaving all that now except the panic attacks ttheir self. Do the symptoms sound like anxiety and or seasonal depression related? I am vitamin D insufficient so possibly that?

This time of year can easily play havoc with us. There can be ghastly weather, dark, cold, stuck indoors, etc. There are the expectations of holiday cheer and good times in stark contrast to what may be churning on the inside.

Not fighting what is, being aware and rational can help. Off to the gym can be release too.

I agree with tinam7. You may also want t try an alternative medicine physician, as they may
have other ways to help you.

Hi Jay...  You are not alone.  I can certainly understand how you feel.  My anxiety is back.  And I sure agree with tinam7, that this time of the year can be like pouring gasoline on the fire.  There is less daylight hours, and many days when I don't see the sun at all.  And yes, since it is so cold out, I don't even feel like going for a walk.  So I stay inside more, and that isn't a good thing to do for my anxiety.  But I'm doing my best to stay active and not just sit and mope, because that will just make things worse.  I am cooking healthier meals, exercising, anything to keep moving and burn-up that excess energy.  The best to you...  Chuck

Thanks all really appreciate it. Yeah being more active is definitely on my to do list. Having horrid sinuses and a recent tooth extraction doesn't help but I need to fight it all. We shall see.
