Sore spot on neck and knot?
« on: December 08, 2013, 05:02:28 AM »
So the other day I noticed a knot like thing on my neck, close to the base of my skull. For a while I've had brain tumor anxiety and I'm due to see a headache specialist on the 16th.
I had a CT scan done, but my ENT just looked at the sinuses, because I've been having sinus issues.
Anyways, I was thinking that maybe it's just stress that's causing my neck to feel tight. Yesterday morning I felt a tingly sensation in my head as well, which kinda worried me.
I did have weird dizzy spells, but those have subsided. But I do get sharp pains on the right side of my head, in the back. Is that stress as well? Because I was super stressed about my mom going out east to clean out the house of her father, who passed in Sept. She doesn't have medical insurance and has heart problems. So I was pretty worried. She didn't go though and I felt a lot better. A lot of the sharp pains went away after, though I still get them.

But is this sore spot and tightness just stress? Or something serous? I'm trying to get into the doctor this week too. ://

Its one of the most common symptoms of tension headaches. I have it too. dont go poking it, that makes it worse.

I agree with luna.....tension!!  Maybe try standing under a hot shower and letting the warm water run down your neck or perhaps a heating pad while watching TV
