Rabies fear
« on: February 24, 2013, 03:59:31 AM »
I got a cut about a month ago that I got from carrying a big uneven surfaced peice of ice that was origainally in a swimming pool outside on my deck, got all the ice out of that pool to make a "skiing ring" in my yard for my little sisters. I'm scared and need to know if the rabies virs can live in really cold water/ ice? anxiety keeping me awake, need to go to sleep soon, hav to get up early, thanks!

I have NEVER heard of someone getting rabies the way you just described. You are assuming that a rabid animal somehow drooled in this pool and then the pool froze and kept the virus alive and then you cut yourself on that
particular piece of ice with the rabid animal drool in it? Sounds pretty impossible.

You're right. HA is crazy. We are able to convince ourselves of the craziest things.  Been there, done that...way too often.
