Hello everyone,

I posted this poll on another board and found the responses interesting.  I was hoping everyone here could fill this questionnaire out (removing my answers & replacing them with yours) so that we can see who all shares our symptoms.  (These symptoms can be something you're currently experiencing or had problems with in the past.)  THANKS!!

Adult acne: No, unless it's PMS time

TMJ: No

Neck & shoulder stiffness/tension: Yes

Numbness in left arm/right arm/both: Yes - both

Numbness in hands (all over/mostly middle fingers): Yes - sometimes all over, sometimes more in the middle

Hands trembling: Yes

Fingernail issues (splitting/cracking, ridges): Yes - slight

Chest discomfort (sharp pain, dull ache, pressure, inability to take deep breath): Yes - sharp pain, dull pain, pressure

Heart - racing, palpitations, skipped beats/hard thumps: Yes - all of the  above

Back pain (upper. middle, lower): Yes - lower

Rib pain (left/right/both sides): Occasionally under left rib, but somewhat rare

Breast discomfort (pain, sensitivity, burning sensations): Yes - all of the above

Underarm issues (lumps, sensitivity): Yes - both

Stomach issues (sharp pain, dull ache, indigestion, acid reflux, gas, nausea): Yes - gas

Abdominal issues (pain - left side, right side, middle, random): Yes - random

Intestinal issues (diarrhea, constipation, flat stools, consistently discolored stools, appearance of blood): Yes - flat stools

Improvement with music, esp. music I grew up with, as well as visiting the beach & listening to the ocean waves.  Made worse by caffeine, googling (!!).

TMJ: what is it?

Neck & shoulder stiffness/tension: yes, all the time

Numbness in left arm/right arm/both: Yes

Numbness in hands (all over/mostly middle fingers): Yes

Hands trembling: Yes, usually whole body especially during the night

Fingernail issues (splitting/cracking, ridges): Yes, I think I have too yellow nails.

Chest discomfort (sharp pain, dull ache, pressure, inability to take deep breath): Yes

Heart - racing, palpitations, skipped beats/hard thumps: Yep, not lately though.

Back pain (upper. middle, lower): Yes. lower back pain and some real problems there.

Rib pain (left/right/both sides): UGH, YES! everyday last 2 years. the cause? no idea.

Breast discomfort (pain, sensitivity, burning sensations): Yes

Underarm issues (lumps, sensitivity): no. (wow!)

Stomach issues (sharp pain, dull ache, indigestion, acid reflux, gas, nausea): yes to everything

Abdominal issues (pain - left side, right side, middle, random): Yes, related to rib pain somehow

Frequent urination: yes, depends how acutely anxious I am

Legs - muscular weakness, frequent twitching, "jelly legs": Yes, at one point I could not walk

Feet/toes - numbness, pain: numbness

Feeling warm/hot all over (when it isn't warm/hot): Yes! my latest symptom actually...been sweating.

Feeling chilled (when it isn't cold): oh yes

 

Psychological Symptoms

 

Chronic worrying: no! just kidding. lol

Feeling like you're going to go crazy: yes

Sense of impending doom / "days are numbered": absolutely yes

Chronic fatigue: Yes. been tired last 14 years more or less.

Overall feeling of being "off": all the time

Feeling clumsy: Yes

Depression - no longer interested in hobbies, getting out of the house, etc.: all the time

Irritable / impatient: 24/7

Self-absorption (needing to be alone / difficulty feeling affection for others / shying away from the outside world): This has been my biggest problem since kid actually.

Afraid to be alone / clingy: No. I love it.

Agoraphobia or other phobias: not really.

OCD (checking & rechecking locked doors, iron, stove): Yes.



Insomnia: yep. I don`t think I have slept well in years.

Okay, here's mine:

Headaches/migraines: Yes, often.

Vision disturbances: Kind of. Nothing specific, but when I'm disorientated my eyes are not good at all.

Sinus issues (congestion, runny nose, etc.): None.

Toothaches: No.

Gum issues (nerve pain, bleeding): No.

Facial numbness: No.

Adult acne: No.

Difficulty swallowing: No

Ringing in ears/pain: Yes, lots of tinitus.

TMJ: Not sure...maybe the tihnitus is TMJ related.

Neck & shoulder stiffness/tension: Yes

Numbness in left arm/right arm/both: No.

Numbness in hands (all over/mostly middle fingers): Not until a week ago, but I've had it quite badly for 6 or 7 days now.

Hands trembling: Every noe and then.

Fingernail issues (splitting/cracking, ridges): No.

Chest discomfort (sharp pain, dull ache, pressure, inability to take deep breath): Yes, occassional sharp pain, sometimes while taking in a deep breath.

Heart - racing, palpitations, skipped beats/hard thumps: Yes, probably my most common symptom.

Back pain (upper. middle, lower): Occassional.

Rib pain (left/right/both sides): Had rib pain for months a few years back, but nothing for a long time now.

Breast discomfort (pain, sensitivity, burning sensations): I don't have breasts :D If I did though, I'm sure I'd have problems with them :p

Underarm issues (lumps, sensitivity): No.

Stomach issues (sharp pain, dull ache, indigestion, acid reflux, gas, nausea): Ocassional nasuea and heartburn.

Abdominal issues (pain - left side, right side, middle, random): Not really.

Intestinal issues (diarrhea, constipation, flat stools, consistently discolored stools, appearance of blood): Occassional diarrhea (okay, girls, form an orderly line!)

Frequent urination: During bouts of severe anxiety, definitely.

Legs - muscular weakness, frequent twitching, "jelly legs": Yes - weakness on occasion

Feet/toes - numbness, pain: A brand new symptom for me, this past day or two. My right foot (heel) is tingling as I type).

Joint pain/stiffness/inflammation: Yes, especially neck and wrists.

Skin issues (itching, "bugs crawling under skin" feeling, eczema, psoriasis): Occassional itching.

Overall "traveling" random muscle aches & pains: Yes

Overall weakness: Not really.

Feeling like you're about to faint: Yes

Inner feeling of shakiness/giddiness: Yes

Agoraphobia or other phobias: A touch of agoraphobia. Fearing panic attacks in public.

Agoraphobia or other phobias: started to feel like i cant leave the house fear of being psioned or drugged or eating or drinking something that has been tampered with or out of date

Insomnia: not so much insomnia but cant drop off easily and dont feel like i sleep well

Heart - racing, palpitations, skipped beats/hard thumps: Had a 2-3 week bout of palpitations. cardiologist's verdict was that they were anxiety-related.

Breast discomfort (pain, sensitivity, burning sensations): Pain and sensitivity, probably related to menstruation.

Underarm issues (lumps, sensitivity): Sensitivity sometimes.

Stomach issues (sharp pain, dull ache, indigestion, acid reflux, gas, nausea): When I'm anxious, I get a ton of gas, which ends up in really incredible sessions of burping.

Comments:  This all just hit me after an endoscopy, the nurse, after the procedure, said they saw Barretts esophagus...well, this scared the living 0103 out of me and triggered nasty nasty symptoms.  I contracted the Norovirus, and had the stomach flue, thought it lasted for 10 days, same thing happened again in May after a hernia surgery, 14 day stomach flu, and it turned out had a illness for a couple of days, but that just rolled into the anxiety nausea.  Question, when I was in the hospital with the shakes, chills, hot flashes, nausea and diarreha, why did they not consider Anxiety?  I figured it out myself when I went to the clinic and got Loranzapam.  Now my doc has me on a list to see a Psychiatrist (canada here, its been 3 months) and I am taking Clonanzepam and she just started me on prozac.  Anyone have any suggestions for me until I see the PDoc?

Ringing in ears/pain: Yes, chronic tinitus when i open my mouth

TMJ: doctor thinks so ..yes

Neck & shoulder stiffness/tension: Yes

Numbness in left arm/right arm/both: yes, have had that but not recently

Numbness in hands (all over/mostly middle fingers): have had that also..

Hands trembling: not often

Fingernail issues (splitting/cracking, ridges): No.

Chest discomfort (sharp pain, dull ache, pressure, inability to take deep breath): daily, enough to send me to the er once, and i wish i could go again 

Heart - racing, palpitations, skipped beats/hard thumps: yes, yes and yes

Back pain (upper. middle, lower): not often

Rib pain (left/right/both sides): no

Breast discomfort (pain, sensitivity, burning sensations): did at one time, not so much now

Underarm issues (lumps, sensitivity): No.

Stomach issues (sharp pain, dull ache, indigestion, acid reflux, gas, nausea): once in a while

Abdominal issues (pain - left side, right side, middle, random): Had an ultrasound for pain, turned out okay, haven't had any issues in a while for that

Intestinal issues (diarrhea, constipation, flat stools, consistently discolored stools, appearance of blood): blood yes, again, went to get checked, it was minor

Frequent urination: No

Legs - muscular weakness, frequent twitching, "jelly legs": sometimes

Feet/toes - numbness, pain: A brand new symptom for me, this past day or two. yes

Joint pain/stiffness/inflammation: Yes

Skin issues (itching, "bugs crawling under skin" feeling, eczema, psoriasis): rarely

Overall "traveling" random muscle aches & pains: Yes

Overall weakness: Not really.

Feeling like you're about to faint: Yes

Inner feeling of shakiness/giddiness: Yes

Feeling as though a weight is being pressed down on your head: not really

Random body parts feeling heated/burning sensations: Yes, in my legs

Feeling warm/hot all over (when it isn't warm/hot): often

Feeling chilled (when it isn't cold): no

Chronic worrying: Yes, as we speak....

Feeling like you're going to go crazy: Yes.

Sense of impending doom / "days are numbered": Yes and counting!!!

Chronic fatigue: Yes, yes, yes.

Overall feeling of being "off": Yes.

Feeling clumsy: Yes.

Depression - no longer interested in hobbies, getting out of the house, etc.: yes, when i am at a high anxiety period

Irritable / impatient: Yes.

Self-absorption (needing to be alone / difficulty feeling affection for others / shying away from the outside world): Yes.

Afraid to be alone / clingy: Yes, when the fear of death looms

Agoraphobia or other phobias: Many

OCD (checking & rechecking locked doors, iron, stove): Yes

Insomnia: yup..
