Do you ever have headaches when you laugh?
« on: March 02, 2012, 06:18:43 AM »
I haven't seen a doctor about this yet, but for the last several months, I've been having these sharp headaches after I laugh. Usually, the laughter is "heavy" so to speak- in other words, I don't tend to have any problems if it's a slight giggle or something.

But if there's a joke that I find really funny and I burst into laughter, the pain surges through my head, lasting for maybe 10 seconds, and then disappearing. It's quite unusual to me...

Am I alone in this?

I used to get pain in the bad of my head from laughing, as if my laughing affected the muscles back there. Once I went to a comedy show and could still feel the pain the next day! I don't get this as often as I used to. But, given that it was common for me 10 years ago, I don't think it was anything dire.
