close my eyes - feel like I'm spinning
« on: April 13, 2007, 08:10:42 AM »
Every once & awhile (especially times when I'm stressed), at night when I close my eyes to go to sleep, I'll have a feeling like I'm spinning. As soon as I open my eyes, it stops & I'm fine. Anyone else have this? Know why anxiety causes this? Know how to help stop it so I can get to sleep?

I get that sometimes.

Anxiety can causes dizziness, and as in my last reply to you I think its because your mind is in a highly charged state so your level of consciousness around bedtime is probably slightly altered too.

Heyyy I have this randomly when I go to close my eyes I start feeling dizzy like I'm actually moving or something..I get freaked out and open my eyes and it goes away. The past few times I didn't really get worried about it because its happened to me so much so I just shrugged it off and it went away.

Anxiety is remarkably powerful and can disrupt your balance and throw every system in your body out of wack.  I feel like this during a panic attack. :(
