Dyspepsia Dyspepsia is a constant pain in the stomach. Functional dyspepsia has no visible cause. Other forms may be identified by X-ray or endoscopy. Dyspepsia may be caused by conditions such as stomach ulcers. It is often aggravated by high acidity in the stomach. It may also be caused as a side-effect of drugs treating other illnesses such as arthritis and schizophrenia. Sometimes no specific cause can be found.
