My list of symptoms is quite similar to yours Knightsaber. There's a cruel joke hidden in that list...every single symptom of MS is included in that list! No wonder 90% of hypochondriacs have worried about MS at some point. Alll the symptoms of brain cancer are also there, and many of the symptoms of heart attack as well.

Knightsaber, where do you get your muscle tension/stiffness if you don't mind my asking? Do you ever get the feeling like a muscle is going to cramp, but it never actually does? It's hard to explain, but when I'm worried about the stiffness in my legs, I'll get this feeling in my calves as if they're on the verge of cramping. Very strange.

I've had many of those although my biggest fear is obviously lymph nodes.  Regarding skin changes, my skin in my hands seems to be very "blotchy" (red patches) and I seem to have little veins popping up around my cuticles on my fingers...some times they leak into my cuticles and cause little red "streaks" at the cuticle that end up going away.  I never had them before I had stress/anxiety so people tell me that is the cause.  Of course I attribute it to some horrible systemic illness...At least I have an appointment with a dermatologist next week  :-\

I definately will!  They freak me out (well the little streaks in my cuticles) because they were never there before.  Although, when I look at dermotology pictures on the internet (which I do not recommend doing, I think 3/4's of my hypochondria problems are because I am addicted to self diagnosing off the internet) the "real" problems they show are much much worse than what I see on my hand.

I get it in my back and my shoulders.  What I need is a tiny Chinese woman to beat on my muscles until they unclench or something.
24/7 my back and shoulders are nearly locked up.  I've tried almost everything to relax them.  And they have cramped before.  You haven't had -fun- until your shoulders both cramp at the same time.

So it's not really that strange :)

It's funny that the list of anxiety symptoms mirrors the obsessive thoughts of us hypochondriacs, isn't it?  I've never had a symptom that -isn't- on that list, come to think of it.

Maybe someday they'll discover that there's this little tiny blue pill you can take that completely eliminates all anxiety and hypochondria and you only have to take it one time.  Of course it has no side effects whatsoever.  I wake up every day looking forward to news on that little bad boy pill.

Well hummer, went to the dermotologist today.  He checked out my fingers and blotches and thought everything, at this point, was normal.  He was checking my finger tips under a microscope and just said that they were microveins that "looked normal".  He wasn't sure why some were breaking through the cuticles but said at this point there was nothing "pathological" (he did mention if you were to look up examples on the internet I would see what he means...meaning when there is a "true" problem, it shows).  The red splotches he said were normal and most people have them, they just don't pay particular attention to them (like me!).

Of course I also made him feel all of my lymph nodes :o  Although he's a dermatologist and not a "lymph node" specialist he said they all felt normal and I'm just a skinny guy so they're easier to find.  Made me feel a little better.
