Bubble on eyeball. Googled... Oh. My. God. HELP! URGENT!
« on: January 23, 2012, 11:45:37 PM »
I woke up this morning with my left eye bloodshot in the lower left corner of the eye. Plus it felt like my eye was extremely dry though something in it withing the said bloodshot area that caused some watering. I chalk it up to me being prone to pink eye when I'm dealing with sinus issues. The dry eye with the watery area persisted through out the day and I was so sure that I had something in it so I would try and fish it out. Well, I just went to the bathroom to get a look and I see this small wad (like the size of a small rounded pinhead) on my white of my eyeball. I'm like, ok, it's that goop. Get it out and it'll go away. Well, 0100. It didn't move. It's attached to my eye and it's like... a bubble or a bump. I'm fricking freaking out right now. I have a small headache starting right now and my face feels weird. What do I do?!?!

That's the article I actually found and then went to the wikipedia link and saw "staph infection" and "TB" ... and freaked. lol.
I've tried to pick it out and scratch it out and it's not budging per se. More of, moving from side to side.
But thanks for your help.

Check out this response from a doctor who says it's not harmful:

Sounds like you've got absolutely nothing to worry about!

I had this last year...It sounds like a little cyst on the conjunctiva of your eye.  I went to my eye doctor and he gave me some steroid drops for my eye.  It went away and hasn't returned.  Its not dangerous.  Don't pick at it...you could hurt your eye.

It sounds like a classic case of pink eye. Go  to the dr and see if he can give you an ointment for conjunctivitis.  Wash your hands, pink eye is very contagious! Good luck!

Thanks everyone!!
I tried some eye drops, and while I can still feel the little s.o.b of a lump, it's not as bad as it was earlier this morning and last night. This morning was terrible-- couldn't see a damned thing out of my eye after I went to prod it. Don't ask. I somehow believed that maybe it would magically move. lol
But, the eyedrops are working. Thanks everyone.
