« on: August 18, 2011, 03:03:05 AM »
ok i promise i've not been biting the cat - but have had this sensation of there being a hair in my mouth for all yesterday and again this morning. anyone else ever had this and know what can cause it? i also seem to be speaking with a *slight* lisp. i have a throat infection so not sure if it's from the throat spray or meds i've been taking.

Hey mermaid, don't you love anxiety? The odd mouth sensations can definitely be fueled by it. There was a period of time where I'd wake up and my tongue would be tingly and numb. Yep... scared the crap out of me. The doctors didn't even really have an explanation for me, however, once I tried out some anxiety medication, that (along with the other symptoms I had going for me) all left. Anxiety does the weirdest, dumbest things to us. And if you really worry/ stress about it, you can develop even more symptoms. It's just another case of having to shake your head at the anxiety and 'ride it out'. I wouldn't be concerned at all about it.

Kick back and relax,  :action-smiley-065:
