sharp pain, same spot in head, ne1?
« on: September 23, 2010, 12:47:27 AM »
I've been having a sharp pain off and on for over a month now. Same spot in my head, several times a day. Went to ER over this & had a CT Scan which came back normal (but dr informed me CT Scan doesnt always show anyurisms) Refered me to a neurologist (who wont see me until NOVEMBER) but...the pain still comes. Frequently & daily.

Im asking to see if maybe, hopefully, this is anxiety related. Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like muscle tension to me, if you've had a ct scan then im very confident in saying theres nothing wrong with you. If it was a  anyurism it would of got worse & worse and something would of happed by now.

I totally have had the same thing many times. It is due to tension and it's kind of like a muscle spasm in your head. That's why the duration is so short. Anything serious would last a long time to the point where you couldn't take it. These pains are just an annoyance(that really hurt:-( and it seems even worse then the pain is the anxiety we feel wondering when it's going to happen again. You will be fine. Try to do some things where you have to focus or relax and it should help with the tension:-) Good luck, hope it helps to know ur not the only one!!
