i saw my chiropractor today and she has found a 'trigger point' on my neck. -when she presses it, i get a terrible pain on the top of my head (where i get most of my headache pain). She explained that its because the muscles and nerves in neck, shoulders and head are all connected. Theres a knot in the muscle in my neck and it pulls up into my head. its just caused by tension and can be relieved by relaxing the muscles in the neck. this is possibly what is going on with you. can you get a massage? or take a hot bath to relaxe your muscles? it might help. x

I'm thinking it started because I did landscaping today and used a leaf blower, weed wacked, maybe irritated something?

I have been experiencing a quick stabbing, pulsating pain on the top of my head and behind my ear... I am sure this is from tension and stress. Pls be super cautious about neck manipulation with chiropractors, this is not always the answer and carries its own risks.

I have been experiencing the same thing! It only happens when I move a certain way. I lifted my head off the pillow this morning then it felt like a jab of pain on the right top side of my head. I also felt it when I went to pick something up earlier. I have been dealing with it for three days now. I have a Dr. appt. tomorrow morning for something else and I am definitly going to bring this up.

I hate headaches so much, I def think if you have some sort of pain you should go to the doctor just to make sure its nothing too bad, and you can always put your mind to ease too.

this is so interesting.. I've been semi fretting about the same sort of thing.  A couple weeks ago I thought I was having neck strain and then the back of my head was either hurting or felt kind of like pressure.  I started freaking about it but then decided to let it go and it basically went away.  then yesterday I got my hair cut and when she was washing my hair I was holding my head a certain way and I'm wondering if I strained my neck again b/c by the evening I had that pain in the back of my head/neck.  Then today I woke up feeling fine but by the end of the day (now) its bothering me again.  so this could be neck strain?!
