I've had tremendous twitching in my feet for about 2 years. I actually get twitching all over but my feet are the most noticeable and the worst. I've described it as a popcorn feeling, twitchy, etc. I even see my big toe do a funky slow motion back and forth motion.
It gets worse with stress and caffeine. I cut out caffeine the first time years ago and it really improved my life - lowered my blood pressure, anxiety level, etc. If I don't have caffeine on a particular day, my twitching level is probably a 1 to a 1.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. If I have so much as a 20 ounce bottle of Coke, my twitching goes up to a 5 or a 6. Even higher if I happen to be stressed at the time.
I keep going back to using caffeine every 6 to 12 months for some reason and then I get all these bad symptoms again and remember why I stopped to begin with. I would try skipping out on caffeine for a week and see what results you get.
